    I love the new update. The only glaring problem on the first run is that Santorum (if played by the computer) doesn’t even gain momentum. I played as Romney and Gingrich again and didn’t campaign with either guy to see if Santorum or Paul would crack some dents this time. I didn’t see any improvement from last time I did this.

    Other than that, I like what I see. Good job.

    Thanks for the feedback! I’ve noted the Santorum gameplay aspect, and will be looking at it for a future update.

    Note: the way endorsers work has been modified.

    Endorser scores can increase through several factors. 1. Offering PIPs. 2. Offering CPs. 3. Affinity increase.

    1. PIPs cause your endorser score to increase by an amount that is dependent on the given endorser.

    2. CPs cause your endorser score to increase by points equal to your campaign’s Command Strength.

    3. Affinity increases happen automatically, and are determined by several factors, including your Command Strength, your national polling numbers, your national momentum, and how close your platform is to the endorser’s position. These increases are greater if the endorser has become ‘leaning’ (+1) or ‘decided’ (+2) for your candidate. An endorser becomes leaning or decided when the difference in endorser scores between the candidate with the highest score and the candidate with the second highest score is above a certain amount.

    Affinity increases will stop at 95. At that point, you must use PIP(s) or CP(s) to cross 100.

    Are we ever going to see the vote totals for each primary state, have the recount option, and get the popular vote as an option?

  5. Craig September 20, 2012 at 7:41 am #

    There have been multiple instances where it calls the race for the wrong person

    I like the new endorser/surrogate thing you’ve implemented. I hope, however, that you will tweak their ratings a bit, instead of having them all “1” in everything.

    May I ask a question – before playing this version – why not finish making the AI? This game is pretty good, but the Presidential candidates aren’t going to battleground states, and the like.

    PS: Please – could the Primary results be in a tab somewhere for easy consultation (popular vote, etc)? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Also can we have the territories not included in the general election as already the computer is campaigning there when they won’t even vote in the general. Thank you.

    Error pops up when I tried to look at Obama’s VP in a game I was playing. The message said something about Warner.jpg, so I’m assuming it was something with the photo. Also, after the error message, it showed Warner’s stats but still had Obama’s face.

    I think it would be cool if there was a small percentage of a chance to get something like a mega scandal perhaps so damaging that it forces you to make the tough decision to go forward or not (kind of inspired by the Missouri Senate race, Herman Cain etc.) Just food for thought. This game rocks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Game crashes during republican primaries on day after Iowa results and upon clicking on the strategy icon. I received a ‘module exception error’ screen that would not come off of the screen and I had to force close and restart. Just FYI.

    @KM,

    Feedback noted re: mega scandals. Thanks for the feedback!

    @Jonathan re: Warner error message,

    Thanks for this – fixed in the latest version.

    @agentcooper,

    I will look into this – have you had this bug repeatedly?

    @Tim re: computer player campaigning in territories in general election,

    Thanks for this – noted, will change this.

    @GOPGipper,

    Thanks for the feedback – primary results request noted. Computer player AI is being improved with each version. If this problem is still in the latest version, please let me know.

    @Craig,

    Do you mean on election night, the race is ‘called’ for someone, but then someone else wins?

  18. anthony_270admin September 27, 2012 at 8:57 am #

    @Craig,

    Yes, vote totals for primaries are on the list of things to do.

    Recount option: maybe.

    Popular vote option: we’ll see.
