  1. after the second turn i get an error message that reads: stream write error

if you turn autosave off the two errors i mentioned do not show up

  2. Actually, you can see some candidates ambition and ideologue but not others:

    you cannot see your own,

sometimes on other candidates you can see their ideologue but no ambition

    sometimes you can see both

and sometimes you cant see either

  3. also, you cannot create your own scenario, it gives error prompts cannot read scenario.xml….. and it says it can’t read any .xml’s before it prompts error that reads; Access Violation at address 004AD7BD in module ‘p4e16.exe’. Read of address 00000018

  4. is there some way you could not poll the candidates who are undecided, I was just playing in the republican primary and started with all candidates but King on undecided… i had gotten all the endorsements in Iowa the polls showed i was ahead by 7 and then on election night it shows rubio, who had just gotten on the ballot two days before, no momentum in the state, jumped 27 points to win because all of the candidates who were undecided votes went to him none of the other votes went to anybody else…

  5. the same thing also happened in New Hampshire

Also, to add on to the enter at variable times scenario, could you also add a button that a candidate who is undecided decides not to run?

  6. Thanks guys, blog formatting fixed.

Ideology only affects computer players, and so currently is only displayed when viewing a computer player

Ambition only affects undecided computer players, and so is only displayed when viewing an undecided computer player.

This is probably confusing, but it’s also confusing to display stats that have no impact on a player’s campaign. What will probably happen is these stats will affect other things as well, at that point they’ll be displayed regardless. Thanks for the feedback on this.

  7. @Jonathan,

You should be able to edit Ambition and Ideologue stats in the Campaign Editor by going to Leaders > More … > at the top of the second Leaders screen.

  8. @Kevin “Also, to add on to the enter at variable times scenario, could you also add a button that a candidate who is undecided decides not to run?”

Do you mean a button so a human player can decide not to run? That’s a good idea.

  9. @Kevin “after the second turn i get an error message that reads: stream write error”

Thanks for this – I’ll look into this.

  10. @Anthony

I don’t see it in the editor on that screen. It might be because I got this error message when trying to update:

An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file
    DeleteFile failed; code 5
    Access is denied

  11. Also, maybe add a date which is the latest a candidate can enter the race, I don’t know how hard that would be, but it would make it more realistic

  12. These ambition and ideology features sound good though I’m not sure how they work. I hope they’ll be in future games.

  13. SANC if you look at player info your opponent candidates have ideology it measures who is more idealist like Cruz or Warren or more pragmatic like Biden or Christie. ambition only shows up for undecided candidates and it shows how likely they will decide to run
