Great interview! That’s awesome that you like Nobunaga’s Ambition. I liked that game as well; although, I preferred Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I’ve played every American-released version of that game (and read the book that it is based off 18 times, starting in 4th or 5th grade).

The Koei games were great. In addition to these, I played L’Empereur (spelling?) and Liberty or Death, which were somewhat similar. I also like Uncharted Waters 1 & 2.

Glad you get to work on a job you love full-time. That’s awesome. I hope to find something similar for myself.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms – yes, I played that as well. I have to disagree with you, though – Nobunaga’s Ambition II was better! 😉

An interesting interview. I didn’t know you had an interest in philosophy.

I always thought RTK had more features and more interesting characters than NA. I played one of the NA games about a year ago. Overall, the games are very similar. The island hoping does make the map in NA, much more challenging. Naval warfare is more crucial. I like the dueling aspect in RTK, and because it is based partially on a novel, it has more character depth for cut scenes and relationships.
