Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

To all the 270soft users, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It was a big year in 2016 here.

Here’s a quick summary of the 270soft vision for 2017 (note: this can change at any point).

  • The Infinity games will continue to have features added (in particular favorability, voting blocs, and updates to issues) and polished. This will continue for some time.
  • There will most likely be an official France 2017 mod early next year.
  • There will probably be additional campaigns added to the Infinity games, either as part of the core games or as add-on packs.
  • An official decision on a Be President game will be made at some point in 2017.

Thanks everyone for supporting games like these!

  1. Anthony,

Are there any possibility that the electoral college becomes optional for PI? I would like to see a mayoral, governor, or any state-wide election without the need of electoral college.

  2. Happy New Year!

Will the France 2017 mod be an additional campaign for PI or a stand alone game? I hope for the first. Thank you!

I wish Russia had competitive election, so you could make a game for that country. I also wonder if the EU is still relevant enough to have its own election game.

  4. I hate to be this guy, but a lot of additions including but not limited to favorability, issue updates, and and voter blocs have been talked about and promised for nearly a year now and we have received no real update as to the timeline for when this updates will actually be implemented. I think you have done an amazing job with the game thus far, however, without those updates the game gets slightly repetitive and easy to master. If you could give us an idea of when these updates are expected that would be great thank you!

  5. Exactly and I think the decision to do the president game should have been announced already.

Would the French mod/game include the French style of voting: 2 rounds if no one breaks 50% in the first round?

  7. @Jack,

The new FPP direct popular vote feature that is currently being worked on for the France 2017 election will allow for gubernatorial elections. We’ll see about official gubernatorial campaigns.
