Thanks so much,Anthony I’ll play as soon as I can.
Brilliant! I’ll check it out in the morning
How do you make an offer? It always says I dont have enough command points?
How many CPs do you have left when trying to make an offer?
It says just 1
Who are you playing as? You need 2 CPs to make an offer.
Its happened with Labour and the Tories, I always have enough Command points before the election happens
You are saying this is occurring post-election? Got it. This should be fixed in the next update.
Workaround: leave 2 CPs available on your final turn.
Yes it happens after the election when Coalition negotiations begin. And when you close out of negotiations the game crashes
Ok, I’ll attempt to replicate that.
I’ve released an update that fixes the post-election CP bug here
http://270soft.com/installs/previews/pmi_uk_v264.exe
I was unable to replicate a crash when closing out of negotiations. If this is still a problem, please let me know.
Note: updated link to 2.6.4.
Thank you so much for being so helpful!
I have 2.6.3b and when I start an official scenario and move ahead a turn it skips to election night and does that for every official scenario
Edit: seems that upgrading to 2.6.3 fixes this
@Chad,
Yes, should be fixed in 2.6.4.
Mac version available, see Mac link in post.
@admin_270 will you add PR voting soon so I can make Israel scenarios?
No plans to add PR anytime soon. 1. Finish up PMI – UK, release PMI – Canada update. 2. Complete PI update, including direct pop. vote and all update relevant that are in PMI – UK. 3. CI update to prepare for 2018.
Anyway,thanks for adding negotiations Anthony.
Really nice update, the negotiations are great, plus the momentum/platform screen is so much clearer now.
Thanks
One possible improvement for the negotiations system would be to have issue changes specified. Anyway,stellar work Anthony.
If I click the X windows durign negotiations it crashes.
I’d also like an option to prevent negotiations as they aren’t applicable for some of my CI scenarios (like the borough presidencies)
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
@NYRep re clicking X during negotiations causing a crash,
Can you be more specific on this? Do you mean clicking the close button for Player Info Screen? If so, do you mean if you add an item for negotiation, and then click close? Do you mean post-election negotiations?
I’ve noticed the crash at the post election negotiations also. It has happened when no parties are willing to enter agreements and it loops between party leaders with no one getting a deal. I have pulled out of negotiations to see if it prompts for a new election but it sometimes crashes. I have also had the normal outcome of a new election. Maybe it is something to do with using custom scenarios?
Thanks
@Daons,
Thanks for this – I will test that situation in particular.
Anthony,I mean if I hit the X Button during post-election negotations.
Awesome update
@NYRep,
Ok, will attempt to replicate this.
@Anthony
I know it is on the “to do list” and it concerns President Infinity, but could you please update the colors for 2008 Presidential campaign? It would be really really really more plesant.
Thank you very much !!
First of all, this update is great!
Secondly, this isn’t relevant to it but I figured it will be seen here: I get an error message in Congress Infinity when I try and play the 2014 Senate campaign – it comes up after it’s gone through all the leader stats and I’m clicking continue to create the game.

A couple of comments on the update now:
I think it really underscores the need for a new PIP system of sorts. I’ve just done a 2010 campaign as Clegg and I’m the kingmaker in a hung parliament but because I spent all my PIPs on endorsements, I don’t have any leverage in the negotiations and it’s just going round in circles. Perhaps there could be a refresh of PIPs for post-election negotiations?
Also, I keep offering Cameron confidence and supply and he keeps turning it down, his likelihood of acceptance started at -36% and keeps going down. I would say it’s unlikely he’d turn it down in the first place given that he surely wants to be in power and Lib Dem support is the only way for him to get it and for it to get less likely for him to accept after protracted negotiations seems odd to me.
Interestingly, his likelihood of acceptance goes up if I offer him a Coalition and offer a Deputy Slot and down if I offer a coalition and request a deputy slot – now, while I did well in the election, the Tories are still by far the largest party and that dynamic means they’re never going accept being subordinate, they want someone to be subordinate to them.
@Will,
Major change in PIPs is upcoming. However, it won’t address what you want here. Basically, you have to keep some PIPs as backup in case.
Re confidence and supply, noted – thanks for this!
@anthony
No rush but have you been able to replicate the crashes when the user tries withdrawing from post election negotiations.
Thanks
I have replicated and fixed a bug where negotiations get put into an infinite loop when a human player exits the post-election negotiations screen. Will be included in the next update, which will be released this week.
@Will re bug in CI’s Senate 2014,
This has been fixed in the latest internal, which will be released after PMI and PI updates.
@Rophil re 2008 colors,
Can you be more specific?
@anthony,
regarding the bug fix, thats great news
