  1. Good tutorial. I use pixlr.com, since it was what I used when I worked at the Huffington Post if I ever had to resize a blogger’s image on a blog that I was editing or otherwise working on. I feel like pixlr cuts through a few steps. You can get the image directly uploaded quickly from a website by the url, and the resize options are already prominent above the image. For the most part, both programs are very similar. Pixlr is free, but I could see it eventually charging people; although, it hasn’t charged anyone for the 5 or 6 years that I’ve been using it.
