Congress Infinity Beta – v. 3.3.2

Where we’re going from here.

  1. Add House 2020.
  2. Continue expanding Editor capabilities.
  3. Move to official status, v. 2.9.2 to ‘Classic’ status.

Congress Infinity Beta v. 3.3.2 for Windows and Mac has been released!

This release fixes a couple bugs, improves the Ads Screen, adds the Editor Issues Screen, adds Options > Auto Spin, adds Options > Help, adds Options > Fullscreen, updates Senate – 2020 Covid-19 issue position descriptions, improves the Strategy Screen, and more!

Note: if you have campaigns you have made from Congress Infinity, it is recommended that you back these up first. Although there should be no problems loading and playing them, this simply errs on the side of caution. If the campaign formatting is unknown, the campaign will be re-written to disk using the new formatting without backing up the original version. If a campaign XML file’s syntax has to be updated, it will backup automatically, however.

This version will not overwrite your existing official release install, so you can play the new Beta version while still playing your previously installed official release.

Version 3.3.2 adds

  • Spin Screen > fixed bug where didn’t reset interviewers index (might solve bug where interviewers screen blank late in game)
  • Barnstorming and Rallies > fixed bug where would say wrong momentum

  1. You should fix the fundraising in both the congress and president infinity games. Congress infinity has everyone including low level third parties with 84 million. President infinity fundraising in game doesn’t reflect the actual fundraising in real life for none of the candidates. Also when do you think we will be able to edit campaigns to maybe fix this ourselves?

  2. @Christopher,

Thanks for this – noted. Can you say more about President Infinity fundraising not being realistic?

The Campaign Editor is gradually being expanded – just added the Editor Issues Screen. Next release might have more. Might be completed in about a couple months.

  3. Like for example biden is out raising trump, but when the games starts trump is actually ahead in fundraising.

  4. Also two other things, the libertarian vp isn’t added yet and the green party starts off with the wrong leader candidate and also doesn’t have the green party’s vp. The last thing I noticed the polling is a little off in a number of states like TX, NC, MN, NH, ME, etc. Biden seems to be too high and trump too low based on real life polling.

  5. Are we going to be able to save games and edit campaigns soon? Is this the official latest version or is 2.9.2?
